In a defensive struggle on Sunday, the Denver Broncos clinched a close win over the struggling New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the late decisive three-pointer to seal the hard-fought win.

Defensive Display Seals Contest

Despite recording nine sacks against Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following conceding a two-point play in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets could only produce just 82 offensive yards during the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that ended with Lutz's short field goal with approximately five minutes left.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Offense

Despite their horrendous offensive display, the Jets still had the ball with a opportunity to score a possible victory. But Fields was tackled on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to go for it instead of sending out kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback struggled all game, completing just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets finished with negative ten net yards passing, the fewest in any contest since 1998.

"Our passing game was non-existent," Glenn stated following the contest.
