Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Coast
A helicopter hovering near a well-attended California shoreline abruptly began spiraling out of control, finally descending rapidly and plunging into a line of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Recordings shared on the internet show the helicopter beginning to twirl near the shoreline then falling in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
